Team 10435 Circuit Breakers Robotics
Who are we?
We are 10435 Circuit Breakers, a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team based in Waukee, IA, USA. Our team is made up of dedicated students from 7th to 12th grade, and we’ve been working together for 10 years. As new members join and others graduate, we continue to grow and evolve. This season, we’re excited to announce that we will be heading to the World Championships for the fourth time! We’ve been fortunate to attend Worlds three times before, and we’re incredibly proud to return for another chance to showcase our skills and passion for robotics.
Our Success
Out of 150 FTC teams in Iowa, we have emerged as a global standout in this year’s FIRST Tech Challenge competition. After a successful performance at the Iowa Championship, we secured the state’s top advancement spot to the FIRST Championship in Houston.
State Champions: We won many awards at the State Competition, such as Inspire 2nd, Winning Alliance, and Winning Alliance Captain.
Strong on the World Stage: We are ranked 48th out of over 8,000 teams in the FTC Community.
Record Breakers: Our team set a state record, only to break it again. We have the top three scores in Iowa.
What's Project Lumen?
This season, we started a new project for those with visually impairments, Project LUMEN. We partnered with the Iowa Education Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired to introduce visually impaired students throughout Iowa to STEM and robotics. We recognized the need to bridge the gap between accessibility and FIRST. Our goal is to create assistive tools and programs that empower visually impaired students to engage in STEM education and ultimately integrate them into FIRST robotics teams.
